Edible Cosmetics--the sure way to great skin!

When it comes to the world of cosmetics and personal care, I've always thought people engage in a very strange type of behavior.  The startling truth is that people buy products for their skin they would never consider putting in their mouth.  For the reason that the skin grows from the inside out, naturally the best ingredients for the skin are things that when ingested are good for the body.

This axiom is understood in very simple terms, but would you really consider drinking a bottle of your facial toner?  This is remarkably straightforward: what is generally good for your body is good for the skin.  This to me is the essence of sensible personal care and natural beauty.

In my last post I talked about different preservatives and the debate of natural vs. chemical.  The real idiosyncrasy about the current "natural trend" is people obsess over using natural preservatives in a formula packed with synthetic constituents.  The best ingredients for your skin require no preservatives--they are made fresh and used fresh.

Here I will provide you with a terrific moisturizing facial mask made from items you can buy at your local grocery store.  This will not only give you an incredibly soft and healthy complexion, but save you a tremendous amount of money.  Imagine that, shopping in the produce section for cosmetics?! You bet...

Mix in a blender/muddle the following ingredients and empty in a small bowl.  Apply evenly to face and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and dab with dry washcloth.

Apricot Papaya Facial Moisturizing Mask:
2 slices fresh papaya
1 teaspoon apricot jam
1 teaspoon raw and pure honey
A dash of grapeseed oil

1. Combine ingredients into mixing blender and mix thoroughly.
2.  Use applicator brush to apply the blend over face, highlighting area around the eyes.
3.  Let sit for 15 minutes, gently wash away with tepid water.  Pat dry with clean washcloth.

Try this formula and please leave your comments below!!
