While on a hike this morning through Torrey Pines State Reserve I took this picture of some wild chamomile flowers in full bloom.  This is a beautiful time of year in San Diego when the sights and sounds of nature are an experience you are sure to enjoy.

For that Special Occasion--Lemon Meringue Sugar Scrub

Hello all!  Sorry to leave you undone....it's been too long since my last post, but alas here we have it!

The smell of Citrus is invigorating to the senses and it often works to elevate your mental and emotional state.  For your enjoyment I've included a fantastic formula for a lemon citrus body scrub--sure to be a real treat for the senses! And for all you guys out there, this makes a great foot scrub for your lady that she is sure to love!

Lemon Meringue Sugar Scrub

2 tablespoons granulated raw sugar
1 tablespoon raw honey
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 whole lemon, fresh cut and squeezed (also try grapefruit for something new)

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and work into a smooth consistency.  The product should be a bit thick and gel-like once mixed together.

Add this to your new at-home spa routine or use as a shower gel!  Also works great as a foot scrub after a long day hiking/exercising!

*1 cup kale (anti-inflammatory)

*1 cup coconut juice (rich in vitamins and antioxidants)
*1 cup blueberries (rich in antioxidants/Vitamin C)
*handful raw almonds (packed with tocopherols/Vitamin E)
*juice of 1 squeezed lime (immune support)
*garnish with fresh mint leaves (anti-inflammatory)

Directions: add ingredients together with 3-4 cubes of ice in a blender and mix thoroughly.  Enjoy fresh!

Invigorate and Enliven...Rosemary Sage Salt Scrub!

Today marks the official deadline to this years tax filing period....what a relief!  Now that this is behind us it's time to relax and unwind! 

Earth Cosmetics has just the perfect thing for your bath or spa experience...try this invigorating,all-natural and easy-to-make Rosemary Sage Salt Scrub--it's the perfect occasion!

Rosemary Sage Salt Scrub

1 cup premium sea salt (mineral salt will also work)

1 cup extra virgin coconut oil

4 drops essential oil of Rosemary

2 drops essential oil of Sage

1. Place salt in medium sized bowl and add oil slowly while mixing by hand.

2. Add essential oils to batch and continue mixing.

3. While soaking, apply mixture to entire body with the use of a loofah sponge.

The herbaceous smells of Rosemary and Sage will enliven your senses and elevate your mood!  For a real treat, use our Apricot Papaya Moisturizing facial mask (see post) while you soak!
